finance

As with a lot of people now a days there is on word that haunts us and that word is debt,
it's a bloody horible word but hear it more and more and when that word is attached to your name it's even worse, and there are always these adverts on the tv or in the papers we read that tell us "are you in debt of £?????? then we can help just contact us and we can part the waves turn water to wine and make your debt go away" (ok maybe not water to wine) but you get my meaning,
well yer some of these do work for some people but not all of us as some are not all what they seem.
let me tell you my story so it might help others, i am not telling anyone to do what i did just getting a bit of advice that helped me and how i got in debt at the start.

It all started when i was younger and was not too bright on my finances,
i was working and enjoying life maybe a bit too much and one day in the post was a letter asking me would i like a credit card, so i went ahead filled it out sent it off about a week later there it was my first credit card i was as i know now in a downward spiral, at the start it was great i was spending and keeping up with re-payments then it started my car packed up so i needed to get a new one quick so i went to see my bank for a loan which i got then brought the car things were good.

Then i had some time off work as living in and out of my overdraft so the bank said could i come in and have a chat, in went and had a chat and somehow i came out with an even bigger loan and the sprial begins so you can guess who this part goes on, so i will cut this bit short go to the next part.

so fast forward some years and i could not see how i was going to get anywhere with it then heard this advert of how this company could help wit debt of over £??????? so i gave them a ring went to meet one of their sales men who had all the sweet talk going so i ended up going with them, so i was now paying them a sum of money once a month which they then took their % and sent the rest to the people i owed money too, this went on for some years and the money i was paying this company went up but the % the were paying out was not so my debt was not getting any smaller and i was getting no-where.

i then went to seek better advice on what to do and how to do it and was told some really good avice and helped my sort things out which this other company had not done, they got me in touch with people that would be able to sort things out for me and give the help which i needed and set me up with a five year plan in which the debt will be finished and i can start my life again and get things on a level.

so if you are in the same situation as i was or you know someone that is then follow my advice and don't try the easy way out as sometime it's not the way out at all, if you do and talk to people have an idea of how much money you can spare once a month although they should help with that and if you feel that the amount they come up with does not match or come near what you had in mind then tell them, don't agree to anything at the first meeting gaet all the facts take them away and study them talk it over family have an idea of how many years you want to be in the plan and if they try and make you agree there and then just get up say no thanks and walk away there are others out there make sure you get the right one for you.

like i said i am not telling anyone what to do just a bit of helpful advice which you don't have to take on at all
